Spring came before I felt ready

The weather changed before I did.

The weather changed before I did.

One morning the light came through the window differently.. warmer, softer, almost insistent.. and I realized the season had moved on without waiting for me to catch up.

I was still sitting with winter thoughts. Still processing. Still holding things I hadn't fully unpacked. And suddenly the world outside was blooming, stretching, waking up.

It felt unfair at first. Like I was being asked to match an energy I hadn't arrived at yet.

But maybe that's the thing about seasons. They don't wait for permission. They come, and they invite you to move with them.. not perfectly, just honestly.

I don't feel fully ready for spring. For lightness. For the version of me that this season is calling forward. But I'm learning that readiness isn't a requirement. Willingness is.

So I'm opening the windows. I'm letting the air in. I'm allowing myself to bloom at my own pace, even if the flowers outside are already ahead of me.

Maybe growth doesn't need you to be ready. Maybe it just needs you to not resist it.

And today, I'm choosing not to resist.
